October is a month full of activities here in Oyster Bay!
Many people love to visit a Haunted House in October in honor of Halloween , well...Oyster Bay has its very own haunted house!
Raynham Hall in Oyster Bay is a twenty-room house museum that many visitors and museum employees say it is a haunted house. This house isn't a haunted house that is set up during the Halloween season, this is an actual house that is haunted. Visitor and employees say there is a smell of apple and cinnamon in the kitchen. There's free food from over 30 different venues and is sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. There's many different types of food such as seafood, all america, international, and desserts. Some of the organizations that benefit from the Oyster Fest are Oyster Bay Rotary Club, Oyster Bay High School Interact Club (Junior Rotary), Oyster Bay Cooperative, Preschool
Friends of Locomotive 35 and Oyster Bay Lions Club .
October 26th-- Theodore Roosevelt's Birthday - Go Visit his home in Oyster Bay or check out the Theodore Roosevelt Statue at the corner of Rte. 106 and Berry Hill Road, Oyster Bay .Sagamore Hill is a Victorian mansion and is where Theodore Roosevelt lived. To visit the Sagamore Hill Museum , the address is Sagamore Hill Road off Cove Neck Road, Cove Neck.
